APRIY SS15 Lookbook - Luxury Mens Fashion
Posted: Jan 12 2015
Hailing from Amsterdam, fashion designer Frenky Apriyanto Tervoort has established his label APRIY in the upper scale of the street fashion section. With his unique ability to take stylish sportive silhouettes and bring it to a luxe level with high-quality fabrics, APRIY has quickly established itself as a brand-to-watch in the urban fashion scene.
It all started with Tervoort’s high proficiency with creating stunning graphics, which lead to the label’s first collection of digitally printed tees. The brand’s aesthetics quickly caught the attention of the street fashion world, giving APRIY all the right attention.
Since then, the designer took upon himself to project his aesthetics into a luxe streetwear look, emphasizing urban silhouettes with a high-end touch. Tervoort has created some of the most versatile shorts and basic tees we’ve ever seen. Minimalistic at first look, with excellent quality and shapes on closer inspection.
APRIY Spring/Summer 2015
For the upcoming SS15 season, APRIY is taking another step up, working with high quality leather and exotic skins. In this collection, the designer is building on the notion of perfect basics, exchanging mainstream fabrics with quality materials. According to Tervoort, we will still see elements of his graphics in the upcoming collection, and he will keep building on the perfectly shaped basics that we’ve come to love. With the base-colors of black, white and grey, he will continue with perfectly shaped basic jerseys, tees, sweaters, jackets, and pants.
In addition to the continuing designer basics, the label will launch the seasonal collection Estetique. This premium collection will contain the graphic master’s self-designed prints, leather, and exotic skins.
The lookbook is shot by Winter vandenBring, styled by Richard Schreenfel, hair and make-up by Danine Zweets, and features Juriaan and Ward from 77models Amsterdam.
Luxury Urban Fashion
With its recent developments, APRIY has established itself as a luxury fashion brand, while still carrying elements and inspiration from streetwear. Tervoort sees his clients as affluent, busy people, both personally and professionally. According to Tervoort, “It’s about comfort and allure”. He continues, “Formality fits well together with comfort. For example the idea of translating the comfort of wearing jogging sweats with a tasteful and sharper cut and by using quality materials. Making it comfortable on all levels. There is nothing like feeling and looking good if your clothes are still presentable and not creased for your next occasion”.
