A First Look at Skingraft SS15 Mens Lookbook
Posted: Oct 30 2014
Last month, we wrote about the Skingraft SS15 show at New York Fashion Week. As said back then, this collections brings the label's dark gothic feel into a higher end of street fashion. Adding to the normal black aesthetics, Skingraft this time around ads in a lighter palette of white, smoke and bone. The collection is still very much urban, with the designer's DNA of oversized silhouettes and impeccable shapes. It contains some amazing bomber jackets, shirts, tanks, and, of course, skirted shorts.
The lookbook for the collection, shot my photographer Stephan Kotas and styled by Angie Anggoro, is clean, fresh, and really compliments the aesthetics of the collection. The creamy white background has the white pieces shine with their subtleness, while it makes the black and red items really pop. The clean styling of the models hair adds to the crispness of the collection, and gives the futuristic feeling we always get from the brand.
Even when thinking the brand couldn't get any better, this collection really pushes the LA-based street fashion brand to the next level. Despite another step up, we're very happy to see the aesthetics the label is known and loved for still lives strong. It also makes us really excited to see where designer Jonny Cota will take it from here. We expect great things, and we know we won't be disappointed!
The collection will be available in early spring 2015.
